Hello

Hello, i am Average Mobile User. I am 4 days old and made more than 5 edits but the software treats me as a brand new user. Since you are an admin, please confirm me for me to gain more editing privileges. AMU (my talk page) 11:05, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

You already have the autoconfirmed userright. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 11:09, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

Abuse filter editors

You have undone my edit at Abuse filter editors for reasons I do not find convincing. What purpose should archiving the page in this form have? It contains no historical information whatsoever, save for one bullet point which might as well be moved over to the abusefilter maintainer page as a bit of historical information. As it stands, it is just misleading people who would have looked for the page Abuse filter maintainers -- which is an equivalent group that does currently exist. In fact, the existence of the latter group makes the page, as it is right now, fundamentally misleading. If you still see a problem with my edit, please give a more specific reason. Your reverts honestly gave me the impression that you did not really take a proper look at my changes. -- MGChecker (talk) 04:59, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

To be honest, it doesn't really matter if the abuse filter editor page exists as a standalone page or a redirect, but it should probably still be listed in {{User groups}} as it was still a user right in the past. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 06:29, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Request for assistance with translation markup

Hello, I'd like to add a link to Template:Recurring online international meetings from Template:Main Page/Community and communication. The latter has translation tags, and there's a page notice regarding markup. I'm not fluent in translation markup, and I'd prefer not to break something that appears on the main page of Meta. Would you please do me a favor by adding the link to the meetings page from the communications page? I'd prefer that the new link go directly below the line that has the description "a list of offline events". The new link can be described as "List of recurring online international meetings", if you're OK with that. Thank you. ↠Pine () 05:18, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

@Pine: Are my edits okay? --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 01:27, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

Flood flag

Can you please grant yourself flood flag when doing many changes? It’s flooding RC. PieWriter (talk) 05:00, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

"update"

Hi, Thanks for fixing links like. this one. However, a minor request.. could you please use a slightly more descriptive summary? This involved a number of user talk pages, which means that people get notifications abound of your edit. And "update" is then not the most descriptive :) Something like "updating link target" or something of the type would at least for me saved me some clicking around. Not a huge deal, just friendly feedback for next time! Effeietsanders (talk) 09:47, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Why delete this article? Can you help me do translation. ~2026-14777-40 (talk) 09:16, 8 March 2026 (UTC)

Breaking code in a template at fi-wikisource

Can you please, as a global sysop, refrain from making unnecessary changes to templates when you are not fully aware what the code is supposed to do: [1]? I had to revert your edit because the archival template stopped working normally after you replaced "span" with "div". --Pxos (talk) 19:34, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

Can you help?

About a week ago, you contacted me on my talk page. I told you that I was having a bit of trouble with the "bureaucratic" process in English for starting a Wikipedia in a new language. So I'm asking if you could help with that and guide the process?

Thanks in advance. היודע והאינו נודע (talk) 21:33, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Reo Māori Wiktionary

Kia ora

I am part of a group of people based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, wanting to work on this page. We see that you locked it down a few years ago. Is there a way you could please unlock it, so we can grow the Wiktionary? https://mi.wiktionary.org/wiki/Hau_K%C4%81inga

Topics to localize? (EduWiki workshops)

Hello, I owe you much appreciation to keep translatable pages open to work on.

And for the EduWiki initiative,[2] I wish to share the topic column for those workshop sessions in ja, too. Would you agree it a good idea ? Making it happen is risky if I do myself, as you have witnessed (;

Those written information will fill gaps, I hope, since interpretation into Japanese language is not given during those sessions. That is why I remind my friends time to time, and they have a great window to see wiki sphere on *Wikipedia & Education*, beyond the traditional way.

Off the topic: We have a good news, yet to be legalized in Japan during this administration; towards 2030, it will be a norm that school teachers in Japanese speaking schools is allowed and apply in their classrooms / carricula some digital and/or on-the-web educational resources. Re-using translation units?

Hi Minorax, I just made an update to WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing, updating the examples (we no longer need to use screenshots). I followed mw:Help:Cite and made the examples on our project page translatable. But now I'm wondering if following Help:Cite was a good idea? Marking the page for translation would lead to lots of identical translation units (e.g. all of the instances of "Wikitext" and "Result"). Do you think I should add {{Tunit}} in those cases? I'm not entirely sure how common this template is, I don't think it's mentioned in the translation documentation. Johannes Richter (WMDE) (talk) 16:57, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Yes, I think you should use {{Tunit}} to remove the need to translate the same content multiple times. On how to use the template, you can refer to {{Tunit/doc}} --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 12:46, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
Thanks! Is it possible that translation units in <translate nowrap> can't be re-used with {{Tunit}}? I've used {{Tunit |268 |According to scientists, the Sun is pretty big.}} many times in WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing, re-using the translation of <translate nowrap><!--T:268--> According to scientists, the Sun is pretty big.</translate> but WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing/de#wikitext still shows the English text (except for the one translation).
Reusing units like <translate><!--T:266--> Wikitext</translate> via {{Tunit|266|Wikitext}} achieved the desired result. Johannes Richter (WMDE) (talk) 17:22, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
Unrelated issue: WMDE Technical Wishes/Sub-referencing/de#FAQ shows a span id despite the text being up-to-date, do you know how to fix this? Let me know if I should rather ask this as Meta:Babel, I primarily approached you because I noticed how often you're fixing some details on our project page (and lots of other translatable pages on Meta) Johannes Richter (WMDE) (talk) 17:27, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
Ahh removing white spaces fixed the tunit issue [3]. We should probably update the examples in Template:Tunit/doc unless I encountered an edge case. Johannes Richter (WMDE) (talk) 17:42, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
