Details of the Swift-Kelce wedding are still tricking through the wall of NDAs Tree Paine presumably erected around Madison Square Garden. In a press conference July 10, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani confirmed that Taylor Swift paid the city $160,000+ for permits to have the nuptials in the city. “Taylor Swift will be paying … has paid already the cost of the permit that was lodged, which was over $160,000 for that event and for the response to that event,” he said. “That was a permit that was finalized, I think, in just the days before the event itself.”

That $160,000 covered things like police overtime, street closures, and other city resources that fall outside NYC’s normal budget. It doesn’t include things like having Paul McCartney sing “I Want to Hold Your Hand” at the reception, or building a garden within the Garden, or the raffle which included prizes like a Cartier watch and Chanel bag. Kelce and Swift also donated a reported $26 million to various charities in New York, Missouri, and Tennessee. Also beer, Jason Kelce drank a lot of beer.
